I’m Denise – recipe developer, food stylist, and food photographer behind the vegan food blog THE RAINBOW EATERY on Instagram
Nice to meet you!!
Ever since I was in high school, I’ve loved healthy cooking and baking. I even dreamed of opening my own little café – a cozy place where I’d treat people to delicious and nutritious meals. However, life took me in a different direction.
In 2016, I went vegan. As veganism was still a niche lifestyle, I started sharing my meals on Instagram, which connected me with vegans worldwide as well as professional food bloggers and photographers. Their work impressed me so much – I felt I had found the job of my dreams!
I couldn’t even handle a real camera at that point, so I put all my effort into improving my photography, cooking, and baking skills. In 2017, THE RAINBOW EATERY (TRE) was born. Two years later, I turned my passion into a second career.
HOW IT BEGAN…

In 2018, the photo of my fruit cube went viral and was published in the Japanese GENIC Magazine. Between 2019 and 2022, my food photography and vegan recipes were featured three times in THRIVE Magazine – the US's largest plant-based magazine with a circulation of 450,000 copies. One photo even graced their cover, which was an incredible moment of success. All the hard work had paid off.
Since then, Instagram has undergone significant changes, evolving from a photo-sharing platform to one primarily focused on short-form video content. I warmed up to it after a while and expanded my skill set, but food photography remained my biggest passion.
I focused more and more on client work “off the gram” while staying in touch with THE RAINBOW EATERY community.

In parallel, I started working on my first vegan cookbook. In view of Instagram’s development and the rise of generative AI, I felt that my favorite vegan recipes and food photography deserved a “special place”.
Creating THE RAINBOW EATERY cookbook has been a real adventure, involving many hours spent in the kitchen, in my photo studio, and at my laptop. I’ve poured all my heart into this book, as going vegan has enriched my life in so many ways. It will be available worldwide as an e-book very soon.
